Think small towns are no fun? Think again.
To really understand life in Maryville, you have to visit. The people you'll meet are friendly and will do almost anything to make you feel at home. As you walk around campus or shop in town, everyone smiles and says hi, even if they've never met you. That's one of the benefits of living in a city of 11,000.
We might not be a big metropolis, but there's plenty to do in our charming city.
This town is full of surprises - you can go boating or camping at Mozingo Lake or play 18 holes of golf on Mozingo's championship course; splash around at the Maryville Aquatic Center; or see a movie. For outdoor enthusiasts, Maryville offers 13 parks, plenty of space to picnic, play games, take walks or just hang out.
As for that storied college tradition of road-tripping, Maryville is in a prime location: We're about two hours from Kansas City, Omaha and Des Moines, where you can get your big city fix.
