Full-time and part-time, regular employees will accumulate paid vacation leave. Vacation leave will be available to the employee at the end of the first month of hire if employment begins before the 15th of that month and continues at the rate described below. There is a limit in the hours of vacation leave to be carried forward at the beginning of each fiscal year. The amount is calculated as a total of one year's accrual plus 40 hours. There will be no exception beyond this without the approval of the Board of Regents.
Vacation accrues at various rates according to the years of continuous service.
| 1-4 years | 8 hours per month |
| 5-9 years | 10 hours per month |
| 10-14 years | 12 hours per month |
| 15+ years | 14 hours per month |
Vacation accrues at the rate of 16 hours per month
Employees employed on a part-time, regular basis will accrue vacation at the rate of the fraction of their employment.
