Northwest must report results of various surveys and assessments to the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education and also to various accrediting agencies including the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), The North Central Association (NCA) and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Northwest faculty and staff also use results to evaluate and improve the quality of general education, major and co-curricular programs.
Northwest requires all students to participate in the assessment procedures. Refer to the statement in your Undergraduate Academic Catalog.
Northwest has selected a series of surveys and tests to be used at various points in your undergraduate experience. Some departments have special requirements in their departmental curriculum. Here is a table to assist in tracking when you should expect a test or survey.
