Class Rosters

Accurate class rosters are vital to ensuring students get college credit for the work done in your dual enrollment classes. This roster is used as the official record of enrollment and determines who Is eligible to receive college credit. Students listed on the roster are those who will be billed. Assuring the accuracy of the class roster is one of your administrative responsibilities in the Dual Enrollment Program.

Class rosters are available to the campus instructors through CatPAWS. The department will send an official class roster within two weeks of the time your students register in the dual enrollment course. Please check this roster to be sure it is accurate and return it to the department within five working days. Everyone taking the class for college credit must be on the roster, and anyone listed who is not receiving college credit must be removed from the list.

The academic department will send a second roster after the fifth week of classes. This roster is the official record of enrollment in the class. If you notice an error, contact the Registrar immediately.

Grades

Northwest's unit of credit is the semester hour. Grades are on the four point system (A, B, C, D, F).  No pluses or minuses are used. All grades, including midterms and final grades, will be submitted through CatPAWS. The department will send you a mid-term grade sheet that lists all the enrolled students. This will come to you at Northwest’s midterm. The purpose of this grade sheet is to allow you to inform students if they are deficient (grade of a D or an F) in a dual enrollment course.

When you receive the mid-term grade sheet, please estimate grades as accurately as possible at the point in the trimester and enter the grades of those students making D's or F's. Return the mid-term grade sheet to the department by the date indicated. Students may view their midterm grades on CatPAWS. No official grade reports will be mailed to the student or sent to the school.

Final grade sheets will be available to your campus instructor near the end of Northwest's trimester. If the dual enrollment course is a year long, an In Progress (IP) grade must be recorded at the end of the Fall Trimester and final grades sent at the end of the high school's Spring Semester. Final grades for a trimester-long course need to be sent when the high school semester ends. Students may view their final grades on CatPAWS. No official grade reports will be mailed to the student or sent to the school.
