Comparisons in Higher Education
Whenever possible, Northwest compares its performance to a group of other higher education institutions that are most like Northwest. Northwest hired an independent, third-party, John Minter of Minter and Associates, to systematically create a group of institutions based on the following variables:
- Public Master's I institutions
- Average ACT score of incoming students – institutions were selected if their average ACT score was in the range of 20-24
- Average Faculty Salary – institutions with average faculty salaries +/- 10% of Northwest's average were selected
- Degree Program Mix – institutions that didn’t have education programs were not added to the peer group
Public institutions in Missouri were added to the group as well. The following is a list of the institutions that comprise the Peer 41:
