DALLAS – Northwest Missouri State earned six awards for excellence in athletic marketing and promotions at the 17th National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators Annual Convention in Dallas.
Competing in Group III, Northwest won the gold with this year’s women’s basketball schedule poster. Earning silver awards were the radio commercials and football schedule poster, and placing with bronze honors were the volleyball schedule poster, the football “White-Out” and volleyball “Pink-Out” promotions.
“It is an honor to be recognized by NACMA for these awards,” said Northwest Athletic Marketing, Promotions and Licensing Director Morris White. “We are very excited about the different things we do in the marketing and promotions department and to be acknowledged for our efforts is very humbling. We look forward to continuing our success.”
More than 1,300 entries were submitted for consideration in all groups and categories. It’s the second straight year Northwest earned NACMA awards after earning two in 2007.
“It is always fun and rewarding to see Northwest and specifically our athletics department recognized nationally,” said Northwest Athletic Director Dr. Bob Boerigter. “I am pleased for Morris and for all who worked so diligently to make these promotions and promotional materials a success.”
Northwest finished third in the total award tally in Group III, behind Grand Valley State (10) and Alaska-Fairbanks (9).
