Disselhoff Named MIAA Pitcher of the Week

MARYVILLE, Mo. - Junior Bill Disselhoff earned MIAA Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season after pitching an eight-inning complete-game shutout against Truman May 1. He picked up his second shutout and fourth complete game of the season in allowing five hits and striking out six batters.
He is currently tied for 10th in career shutouts with two in his second season with the Bearcats.
Disselhoff (4-2) shares the honor with Central Missouri's Mark Carey. It's the second straight week a Northwest athlete has received pitcher of the week honors (Danny Malone).
Northwest (29-22) learns its postseason fate next Sunday when the NCAA announces its regional pairings.
