Started as a wide receiver and defensive back for coach Joe McMenamin ... earned honorable-mention all-state honors from the Omaha World-Herald as a senior, when he had 307 yards receiving, including three touchdowns and made 34 tackles and three interceptions on defense ... helped the Eagles to the Class A state playoffs in each of his three seasons ... also earned one letter in basketball and two in track where he was part of one of the state’s top 4x100-meter relay teams ... graduated in 2003.
