
HOLLISTER, Mo.—Northwest Missouri State’s women’s golf team competed in its first meet of the 2008 season and finished in 21st place at the Drury University Fall Shootout at Murder’s Rock Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.
The Bearcats were led by sophomore Jessica Feuerbach, who shot rounds of 93 and 92 to finish in a tie for 83rd place. Freshman Megan Chaney shot 92 and 99 to finish 93rd.
More than 20 teams and 100 individuals participated in the meet. California (Pa.) edged Upper Iowa by 10 strokes to take the team title. Nebraska-Omaha (third), Truman (15th), Missouri Western (20th) and Northwest represented the MIAA.
The next scheduled meet for the Bearcats is the William Jewell Invitational in Liberty, Mo., Sept. 25-26. Northwest’s program is in its second season. The team is scheduled to play in five events this fall.
