Green House members are subject to a Code of Conduct in the student cheering section. Please be aware that the Green House is the premier student support group in the entire conference, and what the rest of the student body uses as a model on how to act at athletic events. Whether you are wearing the Green House t-shirt or not, you are a role model whether you realize it or not. Also keep in mind that you are representing Northwest Missouri State University, and those improperly representing the university will not be allowed in the cheering section, and will result in removal from the athletic event. In addition, any actions that violate NCAA, MIAA, Northwest, or Green House policies can result in serious consequences for Northwest, Northwest's athletic department, the Green House, and the individual violator.
Remember, that you are at the event to cheer the Bearcats to victory and not degrade the other team, its players, or fans. These remarks will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Inappropriate actions include but are not limited to:
- Profanity
- Threatening Remarks
- Racist, Sexist, or Related Remarks
- Throwing Things
- Etc.
Spirit Points System
As a Green House member you can participate in the spirit points system and win great prizes! The system applies to women's soccer, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and baseball only, and each game is worth one (1) point unless noted otherwise. It was established to encourage attendance at non-revenue sporting events. There will be additional events that will be worth more points!
To earn points, members must attend the events that are designated on the promotions schedule below. To receive credit for attendance at an event, members must check in and check out with the marketing interns in designated areas at home events. The more games you attend, the more points you accumulate and the more prizes you win! Check out the fall season opportunities below.

T-Shirt Policy
The Green House is a large group of visible, die-hard Bearcat fans that receive the most desired section of seats at athletic events. It is important that the Green House creates an environment that is both loud and a unified "see of green". To create such an environment, the Green House requires that all members wear their Green House t-shirt while at games (unless you paint your body). Those not wearing the member t-shirt will not be awarded credit for spirit points.
Criteria
- You must wear you Green House t-shirt for points to count.
- The only games that you earn points for are games played during the regular season when school is in session. Games played during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring breaks do not count.
- Any special event that is designated as an event to receive points will be at the discretion of the Athletic Promotions Department (ex. midnight madness).
- Stand up, make noise, and cheer the Bearcats to victory!
