Tryouts
Tryouts for 2008-2009 were held Saturday, April 19, 2008. Congratulations to those named to the 2008-09 squad:
Meagan Blunt, Ann Cherne, Leslie Davis, Fallon Gardner, Kristen Guest, Kelly Kendall, Kristy Koll, Emily Krickle, Sarah Nowlin, Sophia Rigg, Shelly Southworth, Katie Staihr, Hannah Swihart and Mallory Williams.
Requirements
On the day of tryouts, participants are required to learn and perform a one (1) minute dance routine, as well as demonstrate various technical skills (jumps, leaps, turns, etc).
What should I bring?
- Completed Tryout Application (click here)
- $15 for tryout fee (cash or check only made out to the Bearcat Steppers)
- One letter of recommendation from a previous dance instructor or coach
- One 4x6 photograph of yourself
- Water Bottle
- Form fitting dance outfit and dance shoes
- Granola Bar or something to munch on during breaks
- One minute routine dance prepared and music on CD or Cassette Tape
- A smile and a great attitude!

Bearcat Steppers must have applied and been accepted to Northwest Missouri State University. Once chosen to the team, the individual must be enrolled as a full-time student, and have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
