Gov. Matt Blunt recently made a series of appointments to the Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents.
New voting members selected to replace members of the board whose terms had expired include Gary L. Panethiere, 54, Kansas City, and Dr. Douglas A. Wyckoff, 40, Cameron.
Panethiere, who was appointed to a term ending Jan. 1, 2011, is currently the legislative auditor of Jackson County. A certified public accountant, he holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He replaces Regent Juan Rangel, Kansas City.
Wyckoff, whose term ends Jan. 1, 2013, lives in Cameron, where he has operated a private general dentistry practice since 1992. He attended Lathrop (Mo.) High School and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He replaces Regent Rollie Stadlman, Chillicothe.
Blunt has also reappointed Regent Douglas L. Sutton, Maryville, to a second term on the board. Sutton, 57, is a retired vice president of Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp. and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska. His new term expires Jan. 1, 2013.
In a fourth appointment, Blunt named Bradley Gardner, a junior wildlife ecology and conservation major from Brookfield, to serve as student regent, an advisory, non-voting member of the board. A member of the Northwest chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Gardner is also active in the University Chorale and the 102 River Wildlife Club. His term expires in May 2010. He replaces Aaron Baker, Camdenton, who graduated from Northwest this spring.
All four appointments have been confirmed by the Missouri Senate.
