Regents, audit committee to meet June 26

The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents will meet in regular open session at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 26, in the J.W. Jones Student Union Boardroom.

The portion of the board comprising the regents’ audit committee will also meet in open session that day during an audit scope conference beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the President’s Conference Room on the first floor of the Administration Building.

Agenda items to be considered by the full board during its afternoon session include:

Minutes from previous meetings.
An intergovernmental agreement for mutual aid between various public safety agencies, including Campus Safety.
Miscellaneous fees (fiscal 2008-’09).
Special programs with non-standard fees (fiscal 2008-’09).
Education & General and Auxiliary Enterprises budgets (fiscal 2008-’09).
Special decision item and capital appropriation requests for the Coordinating Board for Higher Education (fiscal 2009-’10).
Renaming of the University’s Electronic Campus Support Center.
Personnel budget (fiscal 2008-’09).
Middle and senior management salary levels.

Scheduled reports to the board include:

Status of capital projects.
Review of audit scope conference.
Student Senate (submitted written report).
Support Staff Council (submitted written report).
Faculty Senate.

Following its regular open meeting, the board will adjourn and reconvene in closed session pursuant to exemptions to the state open meetings requirement as specified in R.S.MO 610.021. The tentative agenda includes:

Pending or threatened litigation (exempt from open meetings requirements pursuant to R.S.MO 610.021[1]).
Real estate matters (exempt from open meetings requirements pursuant to R.S.MO 610.021 [2]).
Personnel matters (exempt from open meetings requirements pursuant to R.S.MO 610.021 [3]).

The board may, at its discretion, decide to reconvene in open session to discuss any old business or raise new items as individual members deem appropriate.
