Deadline extended for Tourin' Bearcats ski trip

Northwest alumni and friends ventured to Winter Park, Colo.,
earlier this year. In January 2009, participants in the Tourin’
Bearcats travel program will take on the slopes of Breckenridge.

The registration deadline for the Tourin’ Bearcats January 2009 Colorado ski trip has been extended to Friday, Sept. 26. In addition, the cost of the trip has been reduced to $545 per person.

The popular travel program for Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends is sponsoring its third annual Bearcat ski trip Jan. 7-11, 2009. The getaway includes three days of skiing at Breckenridge (breckenridge.snow.com) and three nights lodging at Pine Ridge Condominiums (www.pineridge.com), just steps from the ski lift.

“This is our third ski trip to our third different location,” said Steve Sutton, director of alumni relations. “Breckenridge promises to be just as exciting as the other locations. If you enjoy skiing or just relaxing surrounded by beautiful scenery, make plans to join us.”

Sutton said the trip is open to the public, not just graduates of the University.

Those wishing to participate in the ski trip, organized by the Northwest Alumni Association, are encouraged to make a $200 per person deposit no later than the extended Sept. 26 deadline.

The $545 trip cost is based on six people per condo and includes roundtrip transportation, a three-day lift ticket, three nights lodging and an evening Bearcat social. Additional trip details, including package options for non-skiers, are available at www.nwmissouri.edu/alumni/travel/skitrip.htm.
