Athletic trainers to host annual 5K fundraiser

Northwest’s athletic training staff will host its annual 5K Run/Walk/Roll fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 13, a date that coincides with the University’s Family Weekend and the Bearcats’ home football game against the Missouri Western Griffons.

Registration for the run/walk/roll begins at 6:30 a.m. in the circle drive in front of Bearcat Arena (Lamkin Activity Center), and the event starts at 7 a.m. The $20 registration fee includes a T-shirt and the opportunity to win door prizes.

All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the run, which is open to the public.

Funds raised at the event are used to help Northwest athletic trainers attend the National Athletic Trainers' Association Conference.
